Iran’s ‘Coward Ghost’ to shock Zlin fest

The 60th Zlin Film Festival in the Czech Republic is to screen Iranian short animation ‘Coward Ghost’.

The 60th edition of the Zlin Film Festival in the Czech Republic has scheduled to screen Iranian short animation ‘Coward Ghost’.

Directed by Reyhaneh Kavosh, the animation follows a ghost who walks sad and alone in a forest until he meets a little girl who is surprisingly not afraid of him.

It has gone on screen at a number of global events, including the 15th World Festival of Animated Film in Bulgaria.

Born in 1984, Kavosh has so far won a number of honors at different events, including the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran.

Founded in 1961, the Zlin Film Festival, also known as the International Film Festival for Children and Youth, is an annual festival of children's film in the Czech Republic.

This year’s edition of the annual event, which used to be held in June, has been rescheduled over the COVID-19 pandemic for September 4-10, 2020.

The festival will present 300 films from 50 countries, including 158 premieres as well as 37 film workshops and a supporting program.
